While doing a cowl vent repair, a black, (glovebox type material), was hanging loose up around the fresh air vent. the box is three sided as if it was meant to cover something. I would like to know what it is supposed to cover and how its installed. Thanks

There is the blinker for the turn signals mounted on the back side of the fresh air vent, but mine ( 66 ) doesn't have any type of protective cover. Not to say there wasn't once one. What are the dimensions?

I have been in the process of tearing down my 65 for a restoration. Behind the dash by the fresh air vent on the driver side there is a cardboard like material similar to the glove box as you stated. This three sided object was around the wiper arm. My belief is that it was put there to keep wires behind the dash from getting tangled in the wiper mechanism as they are working. Hope this helps.
