I'm working on 66 Coup restmod.
Has anyone seen a 65/66 with shaker hood assembly? Any opinions on the feasibility of refitting/fabricating a 67/68/69 shaker to a 65/66?
The front end is due for a Mustang II IFS and 427 windsor crate motor. I hear there may be clearance issues between the motor and hood.
Got thoughts? I'd love hear them.

Externally the 427 Windsor is identical to the 351W. I have a friend that had a 65 FB that had a 351W and he had no hood problems at all. He was using a factory cast iron 4V intake, I suspect you could run into problems with a high rise intake since the deck height on the 351W is taller. Don't know what effect, if any, the Mustang II suspension will have on the height of the motor.

Wish I had seen this earlier, I was at a car show at Mustangs Unlimited in CT this past weekend and could have asked the person who owned it. There was a 66 mustang with the shaker hood scoop, but this was on a stock 289 engine with no other modifications so I know it can be done, at least for that engine.

I had a friend back in the 80's put a Torino shaker on a 65 Fastback that looked cool.
