im still looking for a block to replace the one i bored out to 0.060 because ive heard from many people that i would have problems with over heating, but maybe i can still use it.  does anyone know about this or any other problems i would have if i use the block i alredy have (1966 289), or know of what i could do to prevent the over heating?  if its not possible to use it, i am looking for just the block, to match it up with my heads i just completed, but cant seem to find one. can some one please help me with this.

You might be able to still use the block if you have it sonogramed to check for wall thickness and/or excessively thin spots.
If it checks out ok, use it but never never let it overheat cuz that will crack the thin areas.

The Mustang gets 16 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway, and has drivers side crash test ratings of 5 stars and passengers side crash test ratings of 5 stars. You also might want to research the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln MKS.
