It's ugly. It looks more like a 350Z than a Mustang. It will take much more than someone with an Italian sounding name taking someone elses design and smoothing off a few corners, to come up with the next generation Mustang. The current model echoes many of the wishes of Mustang fans since 1974. If you want a Ferrari buy a Ferrari, don't spoil the biggest success story in motoring history.

I'm still wondering if that IS the 2010 concept. Or just a one off that ItalDesign did. I usually like Italian designers, Bugatti, etc. but this just misses the mark for me.

Officially, the Giugiaro mustang is a concept car, but I personally think it has zero chance of making it into production. Maybe under a different name, but the concept just doesn't have the small/sporty mindset all other mustangs have. I mean, seriously, the current $20-30 thousand mustang will never adapt scissor doors, a 500 hp engine will never be the bonestock Mustang GT, and no true Mustang enthusiast will buy a ponycar that looks so italian. Besides, Ford won't make GM's mistake of turning a small ponycar into a big sports car, as it did with the camaro and firebird.

The Giugiaro Mustang isn't the 2010 Mustang. If you look more into that name you will also see Mustangs he did back in 64-65 neither of those were around here they are more like one off projects. But as for the doors people already done that with their cars around here. You can order the parts to do that. As for the interior the seats look like they were made from horse skin, I don't think the animal rights people will let that go over to well over here.I seen what the ideas are behind the project and I don't like them one bit, even though I thought of an idea of a front engine Ferrari power trane in the new mustang will be awsome I don't think Italy should build Fords It should be left up to america to build the fords. You know Australia made some nice mustangs back then.
