chasis dimensions

I have just completed my change out from a 6 cylinder to my 289 V8!  Nice glad I did it so far!

My question is with regards to chasis dimensions and where I can find this information for my 65 fastback.  I have what appears to be a small kink in the frame rail which is now showing when I placed my 215 60 R15's on the car.  I am getting a slight rub on the drivers side tire and it shows it is pushed over slightly and sticks out further than the passenger side.  I am thinking I can take this to a frame adjustor but would like to know what dimensions I should be looking for.

Thanks for the help

Hey John,

The measurements should be in the original shop manuals. Most, if not all, vintage Mustang parts dealers sell reproductions.

If the tire rub is on the rear, the axle may not be centered.

If the rub is up front, you could do some measurements comparing the driver side to the passenger side to see if they match. The body shop could get the two sides equal or at least give enough room for both sides to prevent tire rub.
