Anyone running a Clevor in a street car?
I have a '68 notch that I'm restoring.  I got a couple of 2v motors with it.  I've never built a Cleveland and just wonder if it can be made streetable-  Run on pump gas, no pinging problems, etc.  Anyone using the Austrailian heads?
The parts to rebuild one are a bit higher and there is less hardware to choose from but I'm interested.  Most everyone builds a windsor
because of all the parts to be had.  I'm looking for something different.

A cleveland is a diff. approach in deed. Being the owner of one since 1975 in my mach one I will tell you parts are now becomming harder to come by in good condition. Finding vendors who sell performance anything for a cleveland are few and far between  . Once you buy the port plates and fancy intake manifold there is not much left in the aftermarket world.
Mine has the 63cc quench chamber heads offered in 70 so I never felt the need to play with the ausi head install. I've read the upgrade is worth it over the 2 barrel heads, just costly. I'm just glad mine is where I like and complete. I can afford to maintane it but I couldn't afford to modify it on todays prices.
I've seen many 67-68-69 Mustangs with Clevelands in them that never came from FoMoCo that way. In my opinion, it just means less availiable Cleveland parts for me to find when I need them,    but more power to em.

Hi Eddy makes a 4 barrel intake for 351-C 2v engines plus cam kits etc. look up the engine on Summit! Summit has a good selection for just about anything. If your going to use Aussie 2 barrel heads get the closed chamber ones. they will work great on pump gas in street trim. 72 thru 74 cleveland engines were all low compression and will run just fine on pump gas.(dish pistons)I like these motors but I like 71,72,73 mustangs also.I am always looking for a good seasoned 351-C engine but I live in Georgia and it seems like they are forsale some where else.

Just finished installing a 351c-2v into a 67 notchback w/C4 trans, fits like a glove. However I miss placed the timing pointer, would anyone happen to have a spare just laying around??
