I've seen several articles including this month's in MM, but there is no mention if the amp meter is affected in any way. Has anyone done the upgrade? I have a '66 inductive type amp guage.

You shouldn't have any problems with the amp meter when you upgrade the alternator. The inductive amp meter simply has the alternator voltage running through. If it doesn't go through the amp meter, it won't sharge the battery.

Upgrading from generator to alternator is where you'll need to change the amp meter.

Of course, your mileage may vary. Professional driver. Closed Circuit. Trained professionals. All that.

Let us know how it goes for you!
