I know that production was halted early into the 88 year for the t-top option. I couldn't find any confirmed info on the numbers because they combined the t-top and convertible production numbers. I have found the number 1015 for t-top production in my mustang milestones book. I think most came with automatic transmissions though. I guess you might want to park that car for a few more decades........-Ron

In 1983 when the full Mustang convertible returned, the once popular T-top fell out of favour. However, in five or ten years, they will be very valuable, just as vintage coupes that were never very popular are now desirable. Their values will shoot up more because of low production, especially GTs with the 5.0 V8.
