There was no 351 V8 available in 1966. The three V8s were a two-barrel 289, four-barrel 289 and four-barrel Hi-Po 289. The 351 didn't arrive until 1969. I can't imagine that it would be possible to stuff the larger 351 into the small 1966 bodyshell. I have no idea about the headers, but a cherry bomb exhaust would be sweet on a 66. Remind me what this has to do with the topic?

I have put together a pilot of PHP search page focusing only on PHP specific websites and activities. Realizing that attempts to create generic search better than Google will fail, it looks like there may be some use in "vertical" searches utilizing only known good sources. The search page is currently available from PHP tab and focuses on Source Code and Forums. It will be implemented for other technologies if community likes it.

Hi

I am new to this forum and also new to mustangs.  I have only one question.  I have recently been given a 66 mustange coupe with a 289 automatic in it. It is in bad shape, but I was told it could be restored.  What I wanted to know is, has anyone ever put in a newer motor like from a 2000 or newer v-8 mustang and newer drive train parts on a 66 mustang. is it possible?
Any information on where to look or how to search for this info in this forum is apprecated.

Thanks jackson105
