Engine startup-no electric fire to distributor

I have a 67 Conv that has been a multi year project restomod with a 351W and T5 conversion. I am in need of advice on following electrical connection troubleshooting for starting the engine in order to get the car back to the bodyshop for front the end installation. Body shop says they don't necessarily need the interior done, prompting me to just get the engine running. I installed a Concept One serpintine belt system with single wire alternator. New wiring under hood and articles on instruction to replace existing alt with single wire doesn't address the chrome 100AMP one I purchased from Mustangs Plus including the need for a circuit breaker in line. No parts came with the Alt and I have one wire from the Alt to the pos side of the solenoid. Engine turns over , but I get no electrical to the cylinders checking with a timing light to the #1 plug wire. Following available wiring diagrams and searching tech articles, can't seem to find the problem source. Realize I can start the engine without completing the interior wiring as long as I have the under hood connections correct. Any ideas for this restomod upgrade would be helpful!
Thanks
