Battery cable routing?

I was wondering if anyone knows the correct way to run the battery cables for a 66 convertable 289. The old cable was just laying there with the 2 clamps not mounted to anything. The MCA rules say

"The negative cable and starter cable should follow along with each other to the bottom of the battery apron. They are secured with the regular black push on wire holders. The 66 fender shield is a square thin rubber piece with 4 push in plastic pins holding it on. Early 66’s may not have this. MCA don’t allow battery cables that have paper sleeves with the part number on them. These are early replacement parts that are not correct. The starter cable should loop through 2 brackets bolted onto the motor on a V8".

I have seen some starter cables that mounted on the passanger shock tower but where do the 2 brackets mount and were will the neg cable bolt to the block.

Thanks
