I am attempting to get my 66 289 mustang running after having sat for nearly a year and a half. i am not getting fuel. today I disconnected both inlet and outlet lines from the fuel pump. I immersed the inlet line in a can of fuel and cranked the engine. Nothing. I poured fuel into the discharge line and kept the inlet line immersed. Cranked the engine, nothing. Should this test have worked? Any advise or other methods of testing before I go through the hassle of changing the fuel pump?
