i just bought my first ford mustang ive ever owned and i have a question i hope someone out there can help me with???it may sound stupid but i know nothing about fords!!!i need a motor and transmission for my 65 mustang coupe..it had a 4speed engine with a 302(i just bought the car without motor and transmission)i need to know if a engine from a 65 ford truck will fit this car????the truck has a 3speed transmission also....will that work?????please help!!!

Is the engine from the truck also a 302?  There is only one 302, so if it is, it will fit.  The tranny will also probably fit.  When I bought my convertible in 1984, it had a truck 3-speed in it.  It now has a C4...regretting I didn't hold out for an AOD.  Welcome to Mustanging!  May I refer you to
