I just purchased a 67 hardtop but don't have any keys, how do I remove the old ignition without the key?

I have a 67 conv. so i rarely lock it as it is too easy to cut the top and get in so i can not remember if the ignition key is used on the door locks or not. that said, i just replaced my ignition switch and key cylinder, both totalled about $20.00, cheap and easy. good luck.
