I race my car every weekend at the local drag strip and some guys are telling me I should upgrade my Fuel Pump. 351 Cleveland. I far as I know I have a stock carter pump that flows 23 GPH. I saw a holley the flowed 80 GPH. Would this be ok?

Well if your not going lean by the end of the run your probably ok. If you do upgrade make sure you get the latest version pump. Edelbrock has an older version that both Summit and Jegs sell that has its inlet and outlet on the sides which wont work if you have a oil filter there. Then it requres a bottom feed kit to make it fit which is another $30. So make sure you get the latest design pump which has movable fittings so you can run an oil filter and a clutch cable wherever you want. Edlebrock came out with the newer design this last year but they still stock the old one under a couple of different names.
