Interior painting- 68 Coupe

Hi All, I'm restoring a '68 Coupe, and need to know. Are the exposed interior metal parts (doors, dash,& rear side panels)supposed to be the exterior color? Or, Are there interior "paint codes" that match the different upholstery colors that are available?
So far the family choise is Ford Toreador Red ext.,
and saddle int.

Hi,The exposed metal surfaces are usually painted the same color as the interior,not the outside of the car.
Often people will paint them to match the paint job because they have the car dissembled when it's painted but the factory always matched the interior vinyl
