Does anyone have an idea how i can locate a special 73 Mach 1 tha I once owned? I purchased the car in the 90's in Phoenix and sold it when I moved back to FL. it is a "Q" code 4-speed A/C Mach 1 that I would love to buy back and i have the VIN #. Please advise.
thanks,
Dan

If you know someone in law enforcement, perhaps you can get them to do a vehicle search with the VIN. I recently ran across the VIN of my first Mustang, which I traded away in 1974, and a police officer friend ran it through their data base. Unfortunately, my old '70 fastback is no longer registered in any state, so more than likely it's been scrapped.

Donald,
thanks for getting back to me so soon, i also e-mailed Jim last week when i was on vacation. is Jim back yet, we have been trying to see each other for months with no avail, the last time Jim and I saw each other was 1985, damn we are getting old.
I will check with local police to see if they can do this, if they cannot, can i send you the VIN # for some assistance? thanks again for the help.

If and when I do find it I will try to buy it back. It was the most solid car I have ever owned.
