I'm starting to put back the dash/instrument wiring in my 66 GT. I have most all back and I'm having a problem tracing one of the wires to where it needs to hook up. The wire has this marking on it "RESISTOR Do Not Cut or Splice". There is a sheathing over the wire and it appears to be dull pink in color. I believe it orignates from the fuse box, but can't be sure since it runs into another bundle of wires that are taped. It runs the entire length of the instrument panel. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

The pink wire is the "Resister Wire" that should come from your ignition switch and powers your coil. The wire drops voltage to the coil the same way a balast resister does.Usually there is a plug to plug it into at the ignition switch however thats not always the case and you  may have to do a little repair work.Hope this helps
