this is 1985 GT. Standart it cranck want to start but don,t stay on can any body know what to check

sounds like it may be the fuel pump relay as it will let the car start but will not allow the car to run. it is normally hot at start-up but grounds itself thru the computer, i have actually used a jumper to manually ground the relay and my car ran great after doing this, hope this helps.
