As a person who never really like Mustangs other than the 67-69 years, I have to say this 2005-current Mustang is really, really growing on me.
So, I would like some feedback from the community. I am thinking about buying an '05 or '06. But I thought I would buy a V-6 instead of a V-8 to save some money. I plan on changing out the engine, tranny and suspension anyway, so why buy the V-8 version, right? What do you think?
Also, there are so many damn options for performance options that I am loosing my mind. There is Shelby, Roush, Saleen, Steeda, Bash, and even Ford SVT among others. So, I am not looking to be First On Race Day, but I do want be able to put my foot in it when I get the itch to do so. I think I see more Roushes, Saleens, dn SVT Cobras than anything of the others. So has anyone had any issues with these Mustang tuners or has anyone had any customer service that was so great that you are now a lifelong fan and customer?
I should say that I really love the Bash Performance body on their GT-SR. But I think that I can't really go wrong with any of the above in terms of performance.
Oh, and please don't say nitrous. Bottles are for babies, but grown ass men (and women). My 2 cents.
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi BigMike, It comes down to how much $$$ you want to spend. If you're going to replace the cars complete suspension, and drivetrain- then by all means get a six cyl. But the factory underpinings for a V8 will save save you alot of money, In the fact that you won't have to upgrade as much. And I completely agree with you on FORD having hit a homerun with the styling of the 05. Good Luck with it. MB.

Thanks MB. I guess it could be worth it to go for the V8 right off. I guess we will see.
