i pilfered a front disc break setup for my '67 from a mavrick, i think '74.  i know i need to buy a new proportioning valve and plum it into the rear break line, but i read that some people that have done this, also took the piston out of the existing proportioning valve and let the aftermarket valve do all the work.  is this correct?  also, the tie rods are not the right size now with the mavrick spindals.  should i shave the tie rod adjustment sleeves or get mavrick tie rods?
thanks for any help
