my buddy installed a flaming river rack and pinion on his 67 coupe; went for an alignment, and the shop says it can't get the toe-in back to "neutral" - ?? they say it's 2-1/4" out - do they need to cut the length of the tie-rods to get the length correct?

Call flaming river and discuss the issue before you go hacking off tie-rod ends.
