i have a 66 that had the 6 cyl. it now has a 302. i want to do the swap to 5 lug and disc brakes but cant really aford the grand to do it. what year of car would i be able to get the parts off of. and is there a site that is good for detail on how to install and what parts to ask for and if i can use any of the front end parts off the car now? also i want to change the rear end to a 5 lug also and possibly change it to disc as well. what parts car would be good and fairly cheep to look for?  

See if you can find someone that modified their V8 Mustang and has the leftover parts.  You would end up with drum brakes but they would be stronger than the 6 cyl stuff you have now.  If you still have the stock 6 cyl rear end you also need a V8 rear.  You will be lucky to get by with spending 1 grand more to get this thing to safely run with a V8 in it.  You need V8 springs, too.  Finding someone who took this stuff off their car to upgrade it and is ready to part with the leftovers will be the cheap ticket trick.  Good luck.
