Anyone know where I can look up history of a 69 with the 11 digit VIN number? Carfax only allows 1981 or later.

Thanks. I was wondering if there was a service that provided a personal history of the car such as who it was registered to. I would like to know where my car has been since it rolled out of the factory and found it's way to me.

Good luck on that (LOL). The Marti report will tell you the original dealer that sold the car and if they are still in business, they may or may not still have records as to the original owner. From there the real detective begins. These cars are approaching 40 years old and most probably went through multiple owners over the years. Some states DMV records may or may not be available to you and ... well you get the idea. In this day and age they are many privacy issues that may not allow them to open up their records to the world unless you have a badge and legal papers.
