My 65 wiring harness has all the provisions for a hazard light switch except the switch itself. Was that an option on '65's? Where was the switch suppose to be located? I saw how expensive the replacements are any thoughts?

I believe that the hazard lights were an option in 65. The switch was located on the upper right side of the glove box. I have an original switch that I thought was bad but after cleaning and setting back up it works. When I saw the price for a new one (there must not have been that many) I was seriously thinking of setting it up with a modern switch at $12. It's in the glove box and if your not showing your car no one will know and you have the hazard lights. Goo luck!

The 65 switch was installed under the dash unlike the 66 which was in the glove box. Look on ebay for a deal they come up every once and a while

The 65 hazard light was an option in 65. My Sept 64 2+2 has one. It is on the left side of the steering wheel under the dash. Feel for a big hole, that is where Ford put it. Early 66 had a sodered backed flasher in the glovebox with a one pice wireing harness. Though not correct for a 65 you can use that one. The later 66 is a plug in as the wireing harness had the wireing for the switch intrigrated into it.(these are the most common)
