No, it is NOT a D-code engine, and it is NOT a '64.5. The engine code is the 5th figure in the VIN, which is 5F07T755986. The original post improperly entered the model code as "077" instead of "07". I corrected the sequence number from F55986 to 755986.
The "D" in the original post is part of the warranty plate figures, not the VIN. The original post listed the warranty plate figures all together instead of properly spaced like this:
65A 3 D6 11T 36 3 1
The "D" is part of the interior code of D6, which is standard white vinyl with black appointments.
The car's engine code is "T", a '65 six-cylinder coupe built June 11, 1965.
