I just replaced my old starter with a new mini one from Summit. Can I get rid of the external solenoid on the fenderwall? If so, how do I do the wiring (ie: alternator power wire, ignition wire, etc...) that is currently connected to the solenoid? Thanks for any response.  

Nevermind guys, I got it. I highly recommend changing to one of these mini starters. The car sounds a lot stronger when it turns over.  

I have new high torques starter installed with my new t-5 in a 64 mustang . how did you deal with the wiring?
