Hi guys & gals.
I'm a new guy here. The under-hood mat on my car is looking pretty 'ratty'. I was thinking that I might just remove it entirely.

1) Is that a good idea?

2) Do I really need it?

3) Should I replace it with another one, or just clean up under the hood after I remove it?

4) Tips on removing it...should I just 'rip' it out?
