I need help trying to find how much horse power my 1966 Mustang has.I paid 3500 for it in its condition. It has a 302 ford racing engine which is a V8.Please reply. Here is the link for the pictures.http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/20010583

Your quest is too generic. Is it a 2bbl? 4bbl? Does it have a cam? Does it have headers, other HI-po goodies? Out of the box I would guestimate the engine is probably around 200- 240 HP (with ford racing valve covers).

I'm sorry, but slapping a set of Ford Racing valve covers onto an otherwise slightly modified SBF does not make it equal a new FR crate motor.
To the original OP, it appears that you have an aftermarket intake manifold and 4V carbuerator. Without knowing anything else for certain, assume your rear wheel HP is well under 200.

Yeah, best I remember a 302 with a four V carburetor was rated around 225 at the flywheel, and more than likely around 170 or so at the rear wheels.
