Original material question...

I was wondering what the original headliner insulation and firewall insulation pad would have been made of on a 67 Mustang. When taking them out, is there any danger of asbestos exposure at all?

Anything else in an original car that could be an exposure risk during disassembly? I would really appreciate any tips or advice. Thanks.

Yes there is.  Wear a mask.  The insulation used on most all construction projects back then included asbestos.

Anyone know for certain what the original material used in the firewall pad was ... or where I could find the information? I've searched everywhere I know to look for it.
