Im wondering why my 67 convertible has 66 brake drums
I hope this isnt a silly question im new to the Mustang
world.In the next couple of months ill have a lot more questions.Also what can i do to spruce up my inline 6.

Not sure how you know that your 67 has 66 brake drums.  Tell us how you know that.  But, at any rate, Ford didn't waste any parts back then. So, many parts that were left over from the previous year's production were used whenever they could use them.  In the case of the 66 drum brake parts, they were the exact same parts as the 67 drum brake parts.  That is just many reasons why the classic Mustang was so cheap.

Hey Soaring3,When I started on the brakes I thought I could Pick them up at AutoZone,they had to special order the drums when they came in they were missing the hub assembly,I took them back to AutoZone and told them about the hub assembly needless to say in the AutoZone computer system the only brake drums that come with hub assembly are for a 66. Thats were I got the info from.I did find out later that Ford didnt waste any parts.Thanks for your response.
