I had my 200 6 cyl built by clifford performance, the engine runs great but I cant see any oil getting to the top of the cylinder head. I have 45 psi of oil pressure.  It should have oil flowing out of the pushrods and over the springs but I cant see anything. Even running at high rpm. Cliffords engine builder is gone for the next week so I thought I would check here to see if anyone had any ideas.

did you clean push rods and lifters or buy new ones did you prelube engine by manually turning oil pump with drill to pump up lifters before running engine does your lifters chatter or anything sound out the ordinary.I had an old six years ago and it had a shaft that held the rockers in place the oil holes were clogged with engine gunk.can't remember all the details but it wore out my rocker arms (lack of oil). does your oil presure increase when you acelerate.depending on engine could be wrong head gasket.

This engine was built by clifford performance, its all brand new, perfectly clean. I do hear some vlave train noise. The oil pressure does increase with acceleration, it has to be something blocking an oil passage somewhere, maybe wrong head gasket or something.

unlike the V8 engines, the oil to the top end does not come from the lifters thru the push rods. There is an oil passage in the #4 cam journal that is supposed to feed oil to the rocker arm shaft thru head to the #6 valve rocker arm shaft support. (liberally quoting from the FSM page 8-27). Time to tear her down and verify the passage is open.
