The original paint color code will be on the data plate on rear of the driver's door. If you don't have a book with the information to decode the data plate, here is one of several internet sites with the information for a 1966:
http://classicponycars.com/66data.html
The inside of the doors, underside of the hood (bonnet), and inside the trunk (boot) should be the same color as the exterior of the car. The correct dash color will be what the data plate states for interior trim.

You may have paint code Z called Med Sage Metallic / I have also seen this color called Sauterne Gold metallic. Go to www.autocolorlabrary.com. Ro see the color chips for 1966.
Mustang enthusiast since 1973.
