I have a '94 GT. When I replaced the clutch a couple of yrs ago, I had an adjustable cable and a Gripp Quadrant installed. On the Power Tour this yr shifting got really tight and hard on the last day. I found out that the firewall bushing was tearing and falling apart. I replaced this with an adjustable BBK unit. Now, after long trips, I have to adjust the firewall almost all of the way out because the clutch doesn't engage/disengage until the pedal is almost to the floor. This has happened twice. Before hand, the feel is great and pedal travel is great.
When I've looked at the complete component kits, it looks like the ones with the firewall adjusters do not have the adjustable cable. Do I need to replace the cable with a stock nonadjust unit?
