Got my Septmeber issue of MM today and the garage makeover story depressed me

Not really, but it does make me feel like I need to keep expanding my shop that I recenttly built.  In the article, there are some nice examples of what can be done with time and money.

Here's mine that is still a work in progress.  Anybody else have their Mustang sanctuary?

I only have a standard 2 car with concreted side yard pad here in Socal.  I wish I had a place to put a garage like that, nice job - IMO.

Well I have a three car garage, but nothing like the room you have there. I tell ya a lift that works nicely in a place like that is the Bend Pak SP-7X. I have one in my garage but I do not have that much height. Be great to get full lift height. Gawd ,,, I would have that place full of cars in no time there fastback69.

It's a 30X30X12, and I'm working on getting a lift.  I have another kiddo on the way, so it may be a while before I get it done.  I just got the floor painted and moved in last week, so I'm anxious to get some of my tools set up.  I have 5 acres here, so I have plenty of room for more buildings in the future

I truly intend to build a pole barn like yours someday, but just don't have my piggy bank filled yet.  That's a nice space.  Now, get busy building benches and shelving.  I see you have 110 electric there, but do you have 220 for a welder?  Also, how about a sink to wash up?  I guess with 5 acres you can take a wiz around back, but I think I would want a toilet.  Money, money, money.

There are a few shelves and a work bench now, but I'm working on getting more.  I do have 220, but no water.  There has to be an ending point somehwere because my money tree is sick...lol

I have no neighbors so a toilet isn't an issue.  My house is only 100' away.

Heard that about the money tree being sick.  What you have is a very good start to a great workshop.  Do you have enough ceiling clearance to put in a lift?

I can put one in, but will have to be careful with it.

I hope the money tree gets well again, but the aviation industry isn't exactly thriving.

Just about every transportation industry is sucking right now because of the price of fuel.  It has gone down some in the last few weeks, but still too high for our fragile economy.
