ok.i've done the swap and now have front disc brakes and calipers. i found the spindles calipers and so on in a junk yard from a 69 ford rancharo. everything fits except the rims that came off a drum brake car. my question is...do i need to find other rims bigger or something or did i do something wrong?

Yes you do need bigger (diffrent) rims. You can use later model 14" rims, Sorry I do not remember the year cut off maby arround 68 and up? If your putting hubcaps back on nobody will be able to tell. If that Rancharo has the rims and they are good I would bet they would fit =)This is a common problem with useing later disc brakes on a 65/66. The brakes fit and work but not with the original 14" rims.

I am not a rim expert but I did read a lot about this problem and I was worried about my original K/H disc brakes and my styled steel rims. Which turned out no problems there.
