69 mustang brake light switch problem

I have just installed a front power disc brake conversion from CSRP on a 69 mustang but I am having problems with the brake light switch. I used the original non power switch but when installed the switch stays closed and brake lights stay on. I have seen some similar problems but not the same. Has anybody had this problem? What switch was used to correct it.

Thanks
Walter

You could try the hydraulic inline switch. When the pedal is pressed the fluid is pressurized then causing the switch to activate in turn operating the brake lights. Id suggest using one just because the mechanical units could do as you are saying or not work at all. They are easy to install in the engine bay near the master cylinder and simple wiring connections.

Walter, there are different switchs used for the PB vs non PB cars. If your conversion changed the PB iput rod, you'll need to change the switch also.
