In the last car show we entered we noticed the judged sheets had changed. We were deducted points for no retractors and no warning lite for the seat belts. We have the Pony interior and the seat belts are un touched just like the car came from the factory (no retractors or warning lite). Is the judged sheet wrong or do we need to add retractors and a warning lite?

What retractor or warning light are you talking about?  There were none of those back then, so your judges are idiots.

This is what it says on the Judge sheet 64 1/2 MCA Concours Driven
"66 Deluxe is push-button release, factory installed deluxe belts must have seat belt warning light attached to dash. 66 deluxe have color-keyed retractor boots."

Our's has boots at the base on the outside front belt and pull release.

I'm pretty sure the seat belt warning light is only a dealer installed part and not even Mustang specific.  All they are is a light that goes out automatically even if you don't buckel up.  They are not specific to either standard or pony int and not included in the deluxe int package.  I'm also pretty sure that the deluxe seatbelts with the retractors are a separate order item and not part of the deluxe(pony) int package.  I think your judges are misinformed.  Good luck!

I just looked at the 1966 Pice list in my copy of "Mustang Does It".  The retactable seatbelts and warning light is NOT part of the Interior Decor Group.  The puch button, retracable seatbelts DO come with the warning light as a $14.53 option.

My mustang is a family owned original GT with interior decor group and the seatbelts have no retractors and no warning light.  I agree with ktestroet.
