I have a 70 mach 1 that I've spent about 5 years restoring. Its been a weekend driver and racer for the last 6 months but the 5 leaf springs installed in the back have started to "settle" and the tires are starting to rub the fenders.  Does anyone have any advice on how to raise the back end without having to buy new springs?

You can install longer shackles in the back or add a "helper" leaf clamped on to your existing springs.  No matter what you do, short of changing the bump stop, it might still occasionally rub.  You must have some pretty wide tires/wheels on the back to have this problem.

Ford Mustang Research
Ford Mustang When looking for your next vehicle, think about the Ford Mustang, a stylish car with nice features. The Mustang gets 16 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway, and has drivers side crash test ratings of 5 stars and passengers side crash test ratings of 5 stars. You also might want to research the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln MKS.
