I was a import guy up until a few months ago when I sold my EVO and picked up a 66 289 4spd coupe.  The vintage Mustangs may not be that fast but they are way more fun to drive around town!  People love vintage cars.  Anyway just wanted to share that speed isn't everything.  Also Mustang Monthly rocks great mag and site!  

I never take my 65 coupe out to get gas or go shopping that someone doesn't say "nice car, what year is it?"  

I love my 66 Mustang, too.  I have been driving it for 38 years.  Vintage Mustangs can be very fast if you spend the money and time to make them so.  Upgrade the brakes and suspension first.
