fordwannabe...well said..and good luck to you and your stepson. doesnt matter what the car will be worth in my eyes either...it's what it's worth to me and thats all that counts.
brunette..if you need any help if i can let me know..i'm more then willing to do what i can.
i'm rebuilding my 65 coupe so that when it's time and i'm ready..i can hand the keys to my son who is doing me proud, he became a u.s. marine a yr ago. so in the long run the car is his. he deserves it!!
good luck to us all that wont be discouraged by one person telling us it's a waste of time and money.

First I would suggest a suscription to uh..Mustang Monthly. It really is a great way to learn to do stuff to your mustang. Second I really like the book How to restore your Mustang, some of the stuff is a little outdated, but it has lots of good stuff in it too. The last thing I would recommend is get every mustang parts catalog you can get sent to you, you'll see the things that are available and it has lots of picture most of the time. Good luck and ask lots of questions. Tom

i agree with fordwannabe...even though he isnt a wannabe.
he's helping his stepson..sorry..his son. they are doing something they love and thats working together to rebuild a classic.
they looks of the car when you get it doesnt matter as long as it's what you want to look like when it's done.
he's right get all the info you can from this website.and find any out dated book and all the up to date ones also.  and as i keep saying never be thing a question is stupid ...because the onyl one that is stupid is the one not asked.
yeah we get harsh with some of the posters sometimes...but lets hope they dont take it to heart. theres alot of good advice that comes from this site.
i've learned alot..that i thought i knew before i started reading mustangmonthly. now i know a little more but not as much as someother poster.
reas listen learn and go from there!!

Any of you stop think that she may just be phishing
for e-mail addresses.  Not many people openly post
their e-mail address.  If she is really restoring
the car, she would have provided more info.  I like
the photo (if it's actually her) makes you want to
help more because she's pretty.

Who knows, I could be wrong.............

hi brunettes hope you got the car cheap?parts are not , depending what your plans are it can be done.check swap meets ,go to shows look at other cars so you get an idea how to go .i have looked at cars in car corrals for sale .nice paint or engine, interior .then see panels not lined up well, poor 1/4 panels,or bad floors .if this car is the one .go ahead do it ,i am in process my self. at least when done you will know what you have. being in texas, should be able to find parts .check with  guys at automainia.com they might have some left over from a restoration .good luck hg.

Yes indeed John, Fuel injection always needs serviced on this car and don't forget to lube the rear end. If you are legit, best of luck. I met with a restoration shop today to talk about a 1969 Mach 1 I am looking to buy. As he so politely put it, I can have about 40-50,000 in the car if I do a complete resto, or I can buy a damn nice one in today's market for about 25-30,000 and not have to get my fingernails dirty. The thing is, I can do lots of the work myself and it is a project my son and I will do together, he is 12 now. So what everyone here is trying to say is that you will have MUCH more money in the car than it is worth and trying to advise you on buying something that won't drain your pockets.

Also, if you are legit, hell I will come help you for free!!!!

Hello,

I have read a lot of your post on your future endeavors of restoring thsi car.  I have to say I agree with some. I do not take  these statements lightly.  But you have to start with a restorable project car.  After viewing this picture, I think this car does not deserve the money and your attention.  I would keep it for donor parts and look for another project and merge the two together.

Just my thoughts, and I am not try to offend you.

Regards, John

The photo of your cars is way too big for these forums, plus the coding is all wrong.

Ford Mustang Research
Ford Mustang When looking for your next vehicle, think about the Ford Mustang, a stylish car with nice features. The Mustang gets 16 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway, and has drivers side crash test ratings of 5 stars and passengers side crash test ratings of 5 stars. You also might want to research the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln MKS.
