Hey guys I feel like I know most of you guys so I thought I would share with you. I just picked up a new project. Its a 1968 California Special coupe. The guy that I bought it from just didnt have the time to do the resto on it so he wanted someone who would commit to putting the car back into shape, he wanted the car to have a good home more then he wanted more money. I got a pretty good deal on it thanks to him. He lives about 50 miles away from me so my buddy and I had to go up and drive it back home here. I was a little concerned since the car has sit for 10 years but it did great. It just purred like a kitten all the way home. It has some rust in the doors and quarter panels so I am gonna be tackling that first and you guys will see it as soon as I get the old digital cam out. Someone will have to show me how to post pics in here, I havent a clue.

Congrats, if you restore it as nicely and accurately as you answer questions on this forum, I think he put it in the right hands. Tom

Hay mechanicalguy48 - way to go! It sounds like a great project! Is it a 289 or 302 and does it have the CA emissions? What else needs to be done? If it's sat that long then I guess that just about everything needs be gone over. I'm still trying to figure out how to post photos - so I hope someone can let us both know. Good luck!. We may not hear from you much as you'll likely be spending more time in the garage!

MechGuy, first you need to set yourself up with an on-line photo sharing sight, I use Photobucket. You upload photos to your account, from your computer photo files. Under each picture is a list of different ways to move the photo. Use the bottom one, "IMG Code". Right click, then left click on "copy". Next, when you're posting here, right click, scroll down to "paste", & left click. Your image should load.

He he,,,, yeah it is a 289 with a C4. Its a fairly plane jane California special with gold exterior and parchment interior. The main things I need to do is put in patch panels for the rust at the front of the doors and front of the rear wheel on both sides. Other then that its just minor stuff although I am looking for some good concours pics of 68's so I can see the right engine compartment details. I know 65/66's pretty well but the 68's had some details I wasnt sure about like the air cleaner and hot air stove. Thanks guys.

Oh nice looking mustang Lethal and I love the pulleys and drive on that small block ,,really nice. Are those March pulleys ? Looks like you have retained the ford power steering pump also,,cool.
