I have a 68 mustang that my father just gave to me and one of many problems with it is the driver side door. It won't open from the outside or inside. I took off the door panel and took a peak inside. Once I reached in I was able to open the door by releasing the latch. I can also see that the latch is not connected to the handle. Should I replace the latch or is there another part that I should be looking for?

There should be a rod that connects the handle to the latch. These are kept connected by a couple of clips that attach to the rod.
Check a couple vendor catalogs, they should have the correct parts available.

do you have any specific vendors in mind? I've been look online and in catalogs but mostly what I finde are just latches locks but nothing for the rods.
