I have a very early (Falcon gauge cluster, etc.) 65 convertible that runs and drives. I had the transmission rebuilt a few years ago and have not driven it much.

Engine is 289 2bbl with auto trans, rebuilt pwr steering, factory air.

It needs restoration and I wondered what its worth. Floor pans and cowl vents have rust problems, but body is in good shape (it was restored in 80's).

Top needs replacing interior needs redone.

Any advice?

Post some pics for a better assessment, or look for a comparable one on ebay.  Like any thing else, the cleaner it is the more its worth.

It depends on your VIN and door tag also and how bad those rust areas really are. IMO -Sight unseen (and if the car supports the VIN and door tag) probably in the 8-14K range based on having to replace the cowl and floor sheet metal. Have a look on ebay as a sanity check.

Thanks for the  suggestions,

The VIN matches the engine and auto trans. The door tag was one of the early stick on ones and has vanished.

It has virtually no body rust though. Only the floors and cowl and probably the trunk need done.Probably the torque boxes along with that.

I have had the transmission rebuilt, the power steering rebuilt and teh carb too. New gas lines and tank because she sat for a long while before I got her.

The car runs and drives well!
