Trying to find out how hard oil pump is to replace on 96   6 cylinder engine.  looking at buying this car and am told oil pump needs replaced (108k miles) engine rattles on during acceleration but purrs during normal driving. Also oil pressure gauge bad. How hard is to replace sending unit?  THANKS FOR HELP

Hi,
 You can test the gauge by shorting out the connection to grund at the sender. It is located behind the power steering pump bracket.If the oil pump is bad the cam chain tensionor may not put proper pressure against chain.
