I am assembling a '68 302cid equiped car with Classic Auto Air's Sanden compressor. The Montecarlo Bar provided by Total Control is about 1.25 inches too low to provide adequate clearance for the compressor. Has anybody run into this problem, is there a part made for this? I am using the mount provided by CAA with the idler pulley. CAA has been as helpful as they can be in this but I can't get Total Control to respond on their tech line. The instructions indicated that their solution was to BEND the+- $250.  billet aluminum piece and that didn't seem like a smart move to me. I will modify the present set-up by sectioning the idler arm and re-drilling the mount holes in the bracket at the head once in-place I will reattach the idler arm and dress all cuts, welds and paint the new piece black .
