I have just installed my GT 350 R front valance on my 66 I'm restoring. Is there a way to modify the hood latch support bracket that it doesn't show in the opening, but still maintain its strength? Or, does someone sell a modified support? I assume the Shelbys that used the bumperless valances didn't use a hood latch at all, just hood pins. However I would like to use the latch along with pins if possible. In order to use the bracket as is, I would have to cut a 3" notch out of the valance, and I ain't gonna do that, cos it would look really bad. Any suggestions?
