I'm building a 351 cleveland for a 95 mustang. I have a 4v set of open chamber 351c cobra jet heads. I want to get some low end torque and hp. If i put an unported edelbrock f351 2v intake and a 650 holley double pumper will it restrict the air enough to give me low end power? The intake will bolt on. I got the motor really cheap with all the machine work done. I just have to assemble. Thats why I'm trying to use the heads instead of buying a different set. Any info is appreciated.

I used to run a cleveland four barrel in my mustang for about 10 years. If it were me I think I would go the other way with it, and use a set of exhaust d plates. What you want is to increase velocity and by decreasing exhaust area velocity will increase. I don't know about your set up but I think you will be suprised how much bottom end you actually have with a cleveland especially in a light car. I couldn't keep the tires under mine on a good launch and had to end up tubbing it to get enough traction. As for using the 2v on a 4v I don't know if that would work out for you or not. Try it, all it'll cost you is a set of gaskets and if it works let us know, if not then you have informed yourself and us. Good luck...Tom
