Are the input shaft lengths different between a 66 200 3sp man and a 65 200 3sp man?

HA HA!! Today I became a shadetree transmission mechanic! I had a 66 3 spd man with an input shaft too long for my 65. I had a 65 with teeth broken on the countershaft cluster gear. I started taking stuff apart and several hours later I had pulled the input shaft from the 65 and installed it in the 66!! Next day off I'll bolt her up to the engine and I should be driving again! Hoorahhh!
