I have a '65 convertable with 289 4-bbl and 3-speed manual trans. The car was built in mid-September 1964. It has no speedometer drive gear and I have no idea what gear is appropriate. I see gears for '65 three speeds from 14 teeth to 21 teeth. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

You may already looked here, but the Corcoran/Davis  book Mustang restoration guide lists them by teeth, date of manufacture, tire size, and tranny. page 235-ish.  Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I'm just getting back into working on this car and don't know all the resources. Appreciate your reply
